| Trilux S.A., founding partner of Ipanema Coffees and holder of
50% of the company shares, entered into a partnership agreement with the Astro-Lambari Group and the Gávea Investimentos Group, which together acquired the total shares of Cia. Bozano (a former partner). “The Astro-Lambari Group is already focused in producing quality coffees and the Gávea Investimentos Group is a young group, with strong international connections; this will strengthen Ipanema’s image abroad”, explained Washington Luiz Alves Rodrigues, president of the company. “This was an in-house transition that was already being discussed by the company’s board of directors”, he added. The decision was Cia. Bozano’s strategic change, since it wants to concentrate in its other business – the Embraer. With the new shareholders, Ipanema Coffees will undergo an even greater professionalization and internationalization process, and will continue with its initial plans to conquer emerging markets such as China and Eastern Europe.
