| The Community Kitchen bread, milk and soup for people with proven needs. More than 500 families are currently benefited by the program. Supermarkets, food service providers and food industry participants have been collecting vegetables, fruit and other foodstuff, used in meals prepared for the kitchen participants. Since Winter has begun, soup started to be distributed again.
4,400 people are benefited weekly;
1,200 liters of soup distributed every Wednesday
Milk distribution: around 3,000 liters monthly, and
Bread distribution: around 4,400 rolls of bread weekly.
In a recent interview the data collected shows that 68% of the people attended are more than 40 years old and 9% are retired people who benefit from the program since their salary is too low. The project still counts with the help of 58 volunteers, 16 of them working on a week basis.
